5 Weeks and 2 Days Old

Some new pictures of Sofia. She's growing so fast. She is also smiling all the time, giggling from time to time, and has started "talking." I get the most conversation out of her when I'm giving her a bath. My friends put on a double-shower for her and my friend Cindy's baby Drew last week. She got so many nice things. She'll be one well-dressed little girl for a long time. Everyone was so generous. Thanks again!

3 Weeks and 3 Days Old

Just a few more pics of my "little" girl. She's getting bigger all the time. Such a healthy eater. Last night she slept for about 7 hours straight. That was really nice for her mommy and daddy. :) Hard to imagine that next week she'll already be a month old. Where did the time go? They have a shower planned for her next week. It will be a double shower with Cindy and her baby Drew. Lee's sister also has one planned in Lisbon in August, so that will be nice. We're so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family.

1st Doctor's Appointment

Sorry I haven't updated since we came home from the hospital. Been pretty busy. New baby and all you know. On Tuesday, Sofia had her first doctor's appointment. The doctor said she's thriving. She now weighs 8 lb. 6 oz. and is 20 inches long. She's a good eater. She's been such a good baby. She hasn't been sleeping all that well at night, but we're working on it. Last night she slept for almost 7 hours straight, so that was quite a change. She had a big 4th of July holiday. She went to her first parade, then later we had people over. Lee cooked a brisket on his grill. It was a good time.

Sofia has the best personality. Usually very calm and content. She smiles and sometimes giggles. She's just wonderful. We can't imagine life without her. And, my mom has been the greatest. I don't know what I would have done without her. So, these first two weeks at home have been quite an adjustment, but it's been so worth it. We love her.
