Hair Bear 2007

Yesterday was the annual Hair Bear Motorcycle Fun Run. It started out a little cool for riding, but turned into a beautiful day all-around. Lee had to work, which he wasn't very happy about, so I rode with my friend Josh. I failed to use sun block, so my face is a bit red today. It was nice to be out in the fresh air. Sofia stayed at Grandpa and Grandma's. Also, my aunt Loretta is visiting from Wyoming. It's nice having her home.

2-Month Doctor Visit

Yesterday I took Sofia to Fargo for her 2-month checkup and boosters. She now weighs 12 pounds 3 ounces and is 21 3/4 inches long. I can hardly believe it. She's growing so much. The doctor checked her out and said she's strong, healthy, and perfect all around. But, Lee and I already knew that. :) Then it was time for the booster shots. Let's just say that Sofia handled it much better than I did. We both cried, but she stopped before I did. She's pretty tough. They didn't seem to bother her the rest of the day either. I gave her some Tylenol before the shots and later on, so that may have helped. So, all in all, the appointment went as well as it possibly could have. I also took her to have her 2-month pictures taken. That went great; got her smiling and everything. Can't wait to get them back!

2 Months Old!

I have to start by apologizing about not being better at keeping up with this site. I have pictures to post, but I just can't find the time to sit and get everything done. I will be putting pics up, probably tomorrow, but thought I'd write a little today. My little Sofia is 2 months old today! I can't believe it. Where has the time gone? She's grown so much in the last couple of months. She's laughing, sucking on her fist, "talking" and cooing, and so much more. It's sad and fascinating at the same time. She's going to be grown before I know it, but watching her progress and do new things is wonderful. I love to sit and have a conversation with her. I can't wait to see what she does next.

I also went back to work this week. Yuck! I was pretty blue on Sunday, and it was so hard leaving her that first day. I made it through, though. It helps that my mom is taking care of her, and I won't be working Wednesdays, so that helps a lot also. But, still...it doesn't make it any easier emotionally.

Next week, on Wednesday, Sofia will have her 2 month checkup. She'll receive some immunizations, and they'll weigh and measure her. I curious to see how much she's grown since her 2 week appointment. I'm thinking a lot. Anyhow, I will update with that information and make sure to post some pictures. As for now, Happy 2 Month Birthday Sofia!
