Holy Moly, It's Been a While

I figured I better update this before you all decided we'd fallen off the face of the earth. We haven't, just to set the record straight. Nothing too exciting has happened since the last post, so although a boring post may be better than no post, I still decided to take a break. :)

Sofia's 2-year molars have come through on the bottom, so the only teeth that have yet to make their appearance are the top 2-year molars. Potty training continues. During my Christmas vacation, I would ask her every now and again if she wanted to go potty. She declined every time, so I didn't push the issue. I think she's just being stubborn, but we'll go with her timeline. I think it has to be her idea otherwise it's a no-go.

She had her 2nd dental appointment this past Wednesday. Her teeth look great, the doc liked the spacing (less chance for braces, yay), and she did great showing off her teeth. However, the dr. said that it was time to get rid of the pacifier, which I knew would be coming. I just dreaded the moment because she's had it since day 1. So, that night when she asked for it, I told her that it had been lost, and I couldn't find it. I did tell her I would keep looking, but she would have to learn to get along without it. She did perfectly fine. No crying whatsoever. Although she can be the most stubborn child, she's actually quite easy to reason with. If you explain something to her, she usually gets the drift. So, it's gone way better than I thought it would. She asks for it before naptime or bedtime, but I just tell her it's lost, and she's ok with that. Thank goodness!
