Sofia's 2nd Birthday Party

On June 21st, we had a 2nd birthday party for Sofia at our house. We had planned on having it outside, but Mother Nature had a different plan for us. Due to it raining all day, we had to have an indoor party. Now, it wasn't very warm that day, but the humidity was a bit out of control, so it was quite warm inside. Yuck! You can tell it was a bit humid by Sofia's hair in the pics. I was kind of disappointed that nobody really got to use the swingset we got her for her birthday. But, Sofia didn't care, so that's what really matters. She had so much fun. She got to play with her cousins, and everybody was cordial enough to act like they were having a good time. :) Which I appreciate. She got lots of wonderful gifts. Thank you to everyone for coming and showing us how much you love our little girl!

Sofia's Birthday Zoo Trip

The day of Sofia's birthday fell on a Wednesday this year. Since I don't work Wednesdays, and Lee didn't work that Wednesday either (the Bobcat thing could take up another whole blog by itself), we decided to take Sofia to the Chahinkapa Zoo in Wahpeton for her birthday. She had been there a few weeks before with Ashly and Michelle, and she enjoyed it, so we thought we'd take her again. She did enjoy running around and seeing some of the animals. Afterward we went for a ride on their carousel, which is something I think everyone should see and do. It's beautiful. It was a wonderful day to turn 2, although I cannot believe my baby girl is that old already. :)

If you look closely you may see the bobcat.

Excited to be at the zoo.
