Foo Fighters
On September 14, I got to see the Foo Fighters. It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment decision when I bought the tickets, but I'm glad I did. The show was awesome. Lee, Jeremy, Jeanie and I ended up going to the show in St. Paul. I also got to see some friends that I don't usually get to see, Nikki and Chunky. I don't get to see concerts as much as I used to (mostly because I think new music sucks and Fargo doesn't get anybody I think is worth seeing), so getting to see a great show was so worth it.

Doris
Meet Doris. She came into our lives when I found her, near-dead, one morning. She was completely emaciated, her eye was totally matted shut, and she didn't even have the strength to lift her head. I really thought she was a goner. But, I called my sister, Jeanie, anyway, a Vet Tech. She came out, gathered her up, and we were off to the vet. After a prescription for antibiotics and some other assorted pet medical items, we went back to our house. Jeanie got her cleaned up, got a little bit of milk replacement into her, and gave her a little bit of the medicine. Now it wasn't night and day, but all of that seemed to actually give the kitten some life. So, Jeanie took her to her vet's office and kept her there while Doris recovered. A couple of weeks later, she was well enough to come home. Now, I did NOT want another cat in the house, but she got to stay inside for a little while until I decided that the outdoors was the place for her a couple of months later. She still isn't 100%, even after a year. That eye constantly waters and she's always sneezy and snotty. But, she made it, which is pretty amazing.

July
I really don't know where the last month has gone. Seems like summer just started, and now it's quickly approaching its end. Yuck. I haven't been too diligent about taking pictures and updating our blog, but we've been pretty busy this month, with both good and bad things. Won't dwell on the sad things, but everything has kept us pretty busy. 4th of July, Milnor's 125th Centennial, birthday parties, softball, and just general life. I'm am happy to say that my brother and his family did make it home this month for Milnor's celebration. We all wish they lived a little closer so we could see them more often, though. :) As for our Sofia, well, she's growing up too fast for me. Although still not walking and no teeth to speak of, I can say that she has taken a few independent steps, and I can feel a bump on her lower gums, so a tooth must be ready to make its appearance. Things are moving along slowly, but really in Sofia's own time. And, that's the only time that matters, anyhow. She doesn't really speak actual words, but she is quite the chatterbox. Talking and talking all the time. It's pretty cute. But, anyhow, not really a whole lot to report. We've just been living life here, one day at a time. But, I better get to feeding Sofia her lunch. So, here's some pictures. I'll try to write again, sooner than later. :)
