3 Months, 1 Week, and 2 Days

Thought I should update this quick while I've got some free time, while Sofia naps. Well, it's hard to believe, but my little girl turned 3 months old last Monday. Time sure has flown by. We weighed her on Sunday using the primitive method of weighing myself, then weighing myself while holding her. She now weighs about 14 pounds! It's pretty crazy, but she's almost double what she weighed when she was born. I had her in last week to have her 3 month pictures taken as well. They went really well. Sofia was pretty smiley before and after, but not so much when they took the pictures. Oh well, she's her mother's girl. :) Not too much else to report on. Things are pretty much the same with me and Lee. Just enjoying Sofia and the new things she does every day. She's become quite the talker and smiler. She's getting really good at sitting up and holding her head. Any day now, and she'll be doing it on her own. She can roll onto her side but can't quite make the whole trip yet. All in due time. I'll try to keep this up a little better in the future. Anyhow, here's a few new pictures.

What?! What do you mean they lost to Kansas City?

It's tough work being 3 months old.

New Pics of Sofia

Here are some new pictures of Sofia. She's getting bigger every day. She's now trying to sit up on her own and is giggling and laughing at things. I guess she also likes watching cartoons with Grandpa Jerry. :) Pretty soon she'll be 3 months old. Where has the time gone? It's just so fun to watch her experience something new and her reaction to it. It's pretty incredible.

Boys vs. Girls

Also on Sunday, Milnor's Mens and Womens Softball teams played a boys vs. girls game at the field across from my parents' house. Eventually it ended up being two co-ed teams, but I think everyone had fun. It was a warm, beautiful day for softball no matter what.

Emma Jean's Shower and Baptism

There was a shower for Katie and Emma last Friday. As usual I'm right on top of getting these pictures posted right on time. Emma received so many nice things. She's now got at least two closets' worth of clothes. It was a good turnout overall. The lunch was delicious also. Then, on Sunday, Jeremy and Katie had Emma baptized. She did very well, and it was even her dinner time. Scatterbrain that I am, I forgot my camera at home, which is why there are no pictures of the baptism. :( Katie's sister Andrea and brothers James and Tate were the sponsors. Lunch was served afterwards, which was also delicious, especially the cake. Also, it was a beautiful day for her baptism. The weather was terrific!

Hair Bear 2007

Yesterday was the annual Hair Bear Motorcycle Fun Run. It started out a little cool for riding, but turned into a beautiful day all-around. Lee had to work, which he wasn't very happy about, so I rode with my friend Josh. I failed to use sun block, so my face is a bit red today. It was nice to be out in the fresh air. Sofia stayed at Grandpa and Grandma's. Also, my aunt Loretta is visiting from Wyoming. It's nice having her home.

Sofia's "Born to Ride", but it'll be a few years before she can.

2-Month Doctor Visit

Yesterday I took Sofia to Fargo for her 2-month checkup and boosters. She now weighs 12 pounds 3 ounces and is 21 3/4 inches long. I can hardly believe it. She's growing so much. The doctor checked her out and said she's strong, healthy, and perfect all around. But, Lee and I already knew that. :) Then it was time for the booster shots. Let's just say that Sofia handled it much better than I did. We both cried, but she stopped before I did. She's pretty tough. They didn't seem to bother her the rest of the day either. I gave her some Tylenol before the shots and later on, so that may have helped. So, all in all, the appointment went as well as it possibly could have. I also took her to have her 2-month pictures taken. That went great; got her smiling and everything. Can't wait to get them back!
